Life doesn’t end as we get older, it’s just the beginning. RL Gregory reminds us of this in vivid detail as she chronicles the real-life adventures of Thelmer and her good friend Sue. From bold beach excursions to hilarious restaurant trips, the sixty-year-old besties constantly find themselves in eye opening, heart warming, and often times hysterical moments with new found friends, reaffirming the fact that life doesn’t end at sixty, it’s just the beginning.

Laugh out loud funny describes this book! I read at night before going to sleep and I have had to stuff my fist in my mouth on more than one occasion to keep from waking everyone else! I rank this read up there with Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie a Plum series. I hope we see more of Thelmer and Sue!

I laughed so hard so many times while lazing on the beach that I had to wash the salt (from my tears of laughter) off my sunglasses. Do yourselves a favor and read this

Most entertaining! When I read it I can hear the southern charm as if hearing the words out loud. No starchy sentence just down home conversation and humor. I am
transported right into the midst of all the hilarious adventures. Waiting for the sequel!

We’ve all had it happen to us. That distressing moment where we realize we have waited too long to go to the bathroom. Not only do we have to rush to get there and relieve ourselves but we also must avoid fellow co-workers or the public in general because we are too ashamed of what we are about to do. Because we know the secret…it’s going to be bad.

Yes, this is a roar out loud side splitter. You know why some comedians are so great, don’t you? We usually laugh at situations in which we can relate to. What makes this so worth reading is because Chad Martin is trying to end the stigma that a normal body function is NATURAL, not something to be ashamed of. I know a lot of people who really fear doing this outside their own homes. Don’t you hate when you are having such a good time with someone; then out of nowhere they have to go home like YESTERDAY ALREADY? I used to be over shy. So I didn’t even want to tinkle in a stall. Then one day at work, I waited and waited to go in one of the ten occupied stalls. Finally, I thought “if they are NOT going to the bathroom, then what ARE they doing in there”? All sorts of scenarios played in my mind. Believe me. From then on, I wanted someone to know that I AM going…. If you are worried about smelling up the room, laugh!!!! Don’t you think someone would laugh at you after they stunk you out? Plus, it is good for co-workers who don’t like you so well to “reap the whirlwind”. Never feel scared to go. You can damage your insides by holding it too long. We all belch, fart and expel. We were genetically made that way. Wouldn’t you feel bad if you weren’t acting “normal”?

A quick and easy read that humorously broaches a subject that everyone deals with but NO ONE talks about…except Chad that is! A very interesting concept as the situations in this book are situations we ALL have been through in one form or another but as mentioned, never share with anyone else. The book is very humorously written, for some reason I could hear the voice of George Carlin as I read this and as I comedy fan I can’t think of any higher praise I could give than that. While humorous throughout, there really is some good solid advice in the end to help the reader overcome these hangups that we all seem to have “when nature calls.” This may be a book about #2, but to me….this book is #1!

“Pooping Scared” is a very hilarious social commentary about the great lengths that we as humans try to cover up something that is a most basic bodily function that everyone deals with at some point in their lifetime. In it, Chad Martin masterfully and humorously brings out some of the most awkward situations that one can find themselves in when nature calls. A short and fun read whether you are just looking for some innocent fun to read, or something to read while on the throne. Highly recommended.

An instant hit, funny, and very well written. Much like a song you can’t get out of your head, you’ll think of it every time nature calls!
